Grace Community Church is embarking on a journey. Not just any ordinary journey, but a spiritual strategic journey. You might wonder what kind of a journey is this. It is promising to be a very exciting journey that will help our church align our ministries and our vision with God's vision and plan for the future of Grace Community Church.
We believe that God is already at work in and around our church and God is calling us to come and join him in this important work, just as Jesus called the disciples to join him in the work he was already doing.
Therefore, this vision process is not about us developing our own ideas about programs, ministries and goals. But rather it is about discovering God's vision for our church.
During this journey there will be a lot of listening, praying, discerning and following God's leading. This means we don't begin this journey with any preconceived ideas or agendas, but we come with open hearts, open minds and faithful obedience.
A vision team has been created. The purpose of the team is not to create a vision, but to help the church go through this journey together. During this spiritual strategic journey we will gather together several times as a church and in smaller groups to listen, pray and discern where God is leading.
Here are the names of the current vision team members and their roles on the team:
Diane Kooiker - Administrator
Carmen DeRoos - Prayer Coordinator
Emily Rosendahl - Event Organizer
Josh Russell - Communications
Mike Beukema - Multimedia Communications
Dave Zoerman
Please be praying for the vision team as we meet and for our church as we begin to embark on this Spiritual Strategic Journey.
