See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. – Hebrews 3:12-13
Have you ever been excited about something, and then after awhile, the thrill is gone? We turn from it in search of something new and exciting. There is a hole in each of our souls that needs to be filled. It is always hungry until we find the one thing that will satisfy it always. God is the only one that can meet that craving need. When we try to satisfy it in other ways, the hunger returns again.
God knows that is the pattern many of us have in searching for fulfillment and has provided a way to keep us strong and excited in him. God gave us each other. We need one another to keep moving in the right direction. We encourage one another through our words and actions. The impact of others makes a difference in our lives. God’s word is expressed through them as well as God’s love.
Prayer: Lord, you have blessed me with people in my life that make a difference. I pray that I can make a difference in other’s lives. Amen
Faith Tip: Consider who you have encouraged lately? Who has encouraged you? Praise God!
